Before the paint

The part most people never see: board lined, then every joint stopped and sanded flat before any paint goes on.

  • New plasterboard lining on the walls and ceiling of a room, with pink fire-rated board on the back wall and the first coat of stopping over the joints and screws
  • Open-plan room part way through GIB stopping, every joint taped and coated and the screw heads filled, ready for the next coat
  • Wall in a bed showroom part way through plaster repairs, with patches and joints coated over the damaged board
  • Long corridor lined with plasterboard, joints and screw heads stopped on the walls and ceiling
  • Freshly lined hallway with the first coats of stopping on the wall and ceiling joints, doors hung and ready for the next coat
